No Up Front Cost, Really?

Yep, Planet Ark Power allows workplaces to install solar panels with no up front costs by establishing a Power Purchase Agreement (or PPA). Under the PPA your workplace agrees to purchase the power generated from the roof-top solar panels (basically a mini power station) in exchange for their free installation and maintenance over the life of the agreement - usually 15 years. At the end of the agreement you'll own the panels outright, which means you'll be getting free power. Your workplace just needs to own or have a long-term lease on its building.

Another of the big benefits of the PPA is that the price you'll pay for the roof top power will be set at the beginning of the program and will remain set for the life of the agreement. You'll be insulated from unexpected price hikes and bill-shock.

First Success Story

In April 2015 the Mountain Districts Christian School in regional Victoria was the first location to sign up to Planet Ark Power. As Tony Drummond, the school's business manager said "The school values the environment and favours renewable energy but at current prices installing solar was a long way off for us.
