The Schools Recycle Right Challenge is back! Get involved and get recycling.

National Recycling Week (November 11-17) is now just around the corner and we are happy to announce this year will once again feature the Schools Recycle Right Challenge. The Challenge brings together a wide range of recycling themed activities, lesson plans, supporting resources, and events ideas that have been developed specifically to help Australian schools educate students about waste

The dates for the Schools Recycle Right Challenge are Monday 7 October to Friday 15 November 2019. If you're new to the Schools Recycle Right Challenge, start by registering online as an activity coordinator. If you've already registered for either the Schools Recycle Right Challenge or for National Tree Day previously, just login (or retrieve your password) using the same details.

Free resources

After registration you will be able to access the full suite of Schools Recycle Right Challenge resources online for free. These resources include:

  • Getting Started Guide
  • New Cool Australia lesson plans about packaging waste
  • Other teaching resources including the Waste-Free Lunch Guide and heaps of fun activities for kids.
  • Promotional posters and Thank You certificates to display at your school.

The theme for National Recycling Week this year is ‘Recycling Mythbusters’ so stay tuned for exciting new resources.
