Celebrating 50 million cartridges recycled with Cartridges 4 Planet Ark
By Nicholas Scaltrito 6 June 2022
Cartridges 4 Planet Ark is excited to announce that we have recently reached 50 million printer cartridges recycled since the program began!
Cartridges 4 Planet Ark provides Australians who use printers in both residential and commercial settings a free solution to their used printer cartridges. We are excited to announce that we recently reached 50 million printer cartridges recycled since the program began!
To put that into perspective, if we laid 50 million printer cartridges end to end it would span a distance over 5,500km. That's a wider distance than all of Australia measured coast to coast.
Through recycling and repurposing, used cartridges can be used to recover many useful resources, such as plastics, metals, and even leftover ink. These repurposed materials go into products from pens to roads that we can all benefit from without having to rely on virgin resources.
Best of all, Cartridges 4 Planet Ark has a zero waste to landfill guarantee.
One of the goals of Cartridges 4 Planet Ark is to incorporate all aspects of product stewardship into Australia's understanding of waste and resource recovery. From designing products with circularity in mind, effective collection programs, keeping materials in circulation and developing innovative end use solutions, Cartridges 4 Planet Ark has been a pioneer in product stewardship schemes.
