Additional information: Items that can be recycled:

*Desktop PCs / Laptops / Servers – working or not. I perform software based data destruction on all working hard drives and physical destruction of non-working hard drives. I do a 7 pass US DoD wipe on all working hard drives for desktops, laptops and servers –this is done off-site free of charge. I provide an individual wipe certificate for each server wiped and with desktops and laptops I provide an overall recycling certificate showing the serial number and asset number for each computer that has been wiped. I can provide individual wipe certificates for laptops and desktops but this may incur fees.
*Keyboards and mouses.
*Cables - all types including power cables, DVI, VGA, Cat5 / Cat6 / KVM and AV, power boards and extension cords.
*LCD screens – working or not.
*Network Attached Storage (NAS) boxes and other backup devices such as external hard drives.
*Assorted computer parts such as motherboards, RAM, power supplies, IDE and SATA cables, and CD/DVD ROM drives, hard drives etc. (working or not).
*UPS (battery backup) units and batteries – 12v sealed lead acid and laptop batteries (not household batteries like AA or AAA).
*Networking equipment – all brands such as Cisco, Linksys, 3 Com, HP, Meraki, routers, switches and wireless equipment – network racks and enclosures may attract a fee for disposal depending on size.
*Printers and Scanners - anything heavy or a two person lift such as multi-function printers or copiers - you may need to provide a person to help lift – I am OK with the larger printers.
*Tapes and tape drives – limit of 10 tapes per customer or degaussing fees will apply.
*Docking stations and stands.
*Data projectors and overhead projectors (OHPs).
*KVM switches and cables.
*Laptop bags / pouches / sleeves.
*USB sticks / dongles / other USB devices.
*I.P. /VOIP Phone systems and mobile phones.
*Any Apple products such as iPads, iMacs and MacBooks – I can provide wipe certificates for most Mac computers.
*All tablet computers.

This list is by no means comprehensive so if you have other I.T. based items you would like to have recycled please contact me with the details and we can go from there. If you work on the rule of thumb that anything that is a computer or plugs in to a computer can be recycled you are pretty safe.
