Every year Clean Up Australia Day encourages and inspires thousands of Australians to take to their local park, beach, bushland, waterways and streets and really help make a difference to their local environment. By taking part in Business Clean Up Day on 26th February 2013, companies are inspired to work towards improving their environmental impact and perhaps kickoff new environmental initiatives.
"Business Clean Up Day is a simple way your business can clean up, fix up and conserve our greatest resource - Australia," said Clean Up Australia's Chairman and Founder, Ian Kiernan AO.
In 2012 over 310 businesses participated in Business Clean Up Day. One of them was Kyocera, a sponsor of and participant in Clean Up Australia for over 12 years. Kyocera, also a participating manufacturer of the ‘Cartridges 4 Planet Ark' program, had a clean up project at Brush Farm Park in Ryde, NSW which unearthed a natural waterfall once all the rubbish had been cleared away.
The initiative provides Australian businesses with a simple opportunity to improve waste management and recycling.
