Providers of recycling and waste disposal services are invited to list their details for free on a new online directory being created for business.
BusinesRecycling.com.au will contain Australia-wide listings of re-use and recycling collection and drop-off locations and services in one easy to access site.
BusinessRecycling.com.au is a partnership between Planet Ark, the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water NSW and Pitney Bowes.
The website is designed to make it easy for businesses, especially small and medium sized businesses, to find recycling services in their area.
"This is a unique opportunity for recycling service providers to promote their business to a key market, said Planet Ark's Campaigns Manager Brad Gray.
"We encourage all re-use, recycling, waste disposal and waste transport companies to take advantage of this free promotion and list their services on BusinessRecycling.com.au
"A marketing campaign will promote the directory to the business community," said Brad Gray.
"Only about half of Australian businesses are recycling and the recycling portal BusinessRecycling.com.au will make it easier for businesses to increase their recycling rates".
Businesses can find out about local recycling services by calling the BusinessRecycling hotline on 1300 763 768. Recyclers are encouraged to list their services before the site is launched to businesses in early May 2010.
"It is free for recyclers to list their services and all listings can be made directly onto the site, said Gray. "BusinessRecycling is about providing a one stop shop and making it easier for businesses to find the recycling solutions they need."
As Foundation Partners of Planet Ark's BusinessRecycling website, the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water and Pitney Bowes have declared their commitment to helping businesses across Australia drive down waste, increase recycling and improve resource recovery.
